ABOUT
Because time is thought to be a rigorous progression from cause to effect, you might believe that the first and best launcher ever hasn't been updated. However, from a non-linear, non-subjective perspective, it's more like we published this update three years ago and you weren't aware of it. We are aware that not everyone has $1.21 gigawatts to spare, so don't worry.
Having said that, we have discussed this topic extensively and have read a number of articles about Google's recommendations for abusing app capabilities and settings. But because speaking is not a sign of intelligence, we have created the exact opposite. You understand, there cannot be innovation without choice. Boring is the Launcher.
We don't blame you if you think, "I find your excess of settings disturbing." It's an entirely typical response. Apparently, you people aren't yet prepared for it. However, your children will adore it. The likelihood of setting it to your liking is ultimately about 3720 to 1, which makes it the best launcher because math is always correct.
We do have screens and icons, yes. without a doubt, plus we also have widgets, so what else? You can even create your own. Use themes if you'd rather have everything already created! or bundles of widgets and templates! ¿The desktop of your gadget looks dull. Rephrase it, Sam. Your preferences, follow your rules. You can adjust it, modify it, shake it rather than mix it, or you can choose not to.
And keep in mind that "there are only options in ADW Settings; there is no such thing as 'the unknown'"
*Everlasting Features*
The majority of the application has been completely rewritten and revamped. A lot of new features have also been introduced. Here are a few examples:
* compatibility for Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts (limited compatibility for earlier releases, including 5.x).
* New icons and effects section added. You can select compositions and image filters. Awesome!!!
* Dynamic UI coloring utilizing colors from the wallpaper.
* A new screen management method. Keep holding down a free space on the desktop.
* A new method for adding shortcuts and widgets.
* A new method to access settings, lock/unlock the desktop, or change the wallpaper. Select the option by holding down a blank space on the desktop.
A few desktop transitions, an indexed fast scroll app drawer style, and a fast scroll app drawer style have all been added.
* A new area to set up icon badges has been added.
* included a visual mode to allow users to customize desktop, icon, folder, and app drawer settings.
* Added the option to alter the top panel or widget. * Changed the bottom panel's (dock or widget) content type. Folders now have a new wrap folder mode. With this mode, you can swipe up to reveal the folder's contents and tap to open the first app in the folder.
* New, quick application search added to the app drawer.
* App categories in the app drawer have been improved, along with user gesture management and the application of internal and external themes. Context menu improvements for all desktop elements.
* A new Custom Widget object was added. You can import pre-existing custom widgets from friends and other developers, add new ones from the widget list, or create, edit, and share your own.
* Initial extensions for the custom widgets (time/battery) added. * Additional extensions (weather, gmail, etc.) can be found in the ADWExtensions pack.
* A template manager was added. Simple to remove, add, and share templates.
Improvements to the folder properties panel and the icon properties dialog.
* Backup manager has been added to advanced settings/system. You may now import data from other well-known launchers (if we missed your favorite, let us know so we can include it!).
* Added the ability for desktop shortcuts to set a secondary action. To carry out the additional action, swipe up over the desktop shortcut. I'm probably forgetting 2 or 200 things...
